# Time settings

Time settings are used to disable the button automatically after a certain period of time if the concerned assignee hasn’t taken any action in that period.

| Do you want this button to disable after a certain time? | Select **Yes** if you want to disable the button after a period of time and then select the time duration after which you want it to be disabled |

Let's look at the **Time settings** for the **Update** button of [**Step 1** ](/workflow-builder/introduction/overview.md#step-1)of the [**Reimburesment workflow**](/workflow-builder/introduction/overview.md). The **Update** button is to be made visible to the initiator only for 15 minutes. Please see the settings below that help you achieve this.

The above settings will automatically disable the **Update** button after 15 minutes of form submission.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.senpiper.com/workflow-builder/how-to-create-workflows/define-workflow-step/configuring-button-settings-for-a-step-of-the-workflow/time-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
